Unlike conventional paper cups, Just Paper Cups are completely plastic-free. This means they fall outside the EU Single-Use Plastics Directive (SUPD) definition of plastic and do not require the SUP logo on the cup.

Wood fibres as the base material

The cup is made from wood fibres.

Plastic-free barrier layer

Natural polymers that have not been chemically modified are integrated into the fibre pulp to create barrier performance.

Ultrasonic bonding

Ultrasonic technology bonds the fibres together, removing the need for glue.

Finished plastic-free cup

The final product is a paper cup made without plastic coating or plastic-based adhesives.
